    <Abstract>Despite recent improvements in technology of dialysis machine and updated treatment protocols, hemodialysis patients suffer from a high rate of morbidity and mortality. In dialysis centers, healthcare staffs should attempt to provide reliable and efficient care in accordance with clinical guidelines. Integrating intelligent information systems in hemodialysis process have substantially reduced the medical errors rate and improved the quality and efficiency of healthcare through utilize of clinical practice guidelines and of patient information. In this review, we summarize the most important applications of intelligent information systems in hemodialysis adequacy promotion.</Abstract>
